The Directors of Volunteers Association (DOVA) is the only professional
organization of its kind in the Big Bend area that serves as a resource
for volunteer managers. DOVA offers individuals and agencies the
opportunity to network with similar professionals, provides monthly
"lunch and learn" meetings, quarterly workshops and advocates
for volunteer issues. If your job requires you to interface with
volunteers then DOVA has something for you. VolunteerLEON is the membership coordinator for the association and
we encourage agencies to take advantage of the opportunity to share,
learn and enjoy the fellowship of your colleagues by participating in
their workshops, luncheons and special projects throughout the year.
Membership fees are $35.00 per person or $75.00 per agency** (for up to
4 individuals, names must be provided) please make checks payable to
DOVA. Membership includes: 4 half day workshops, monthly lunch and
learns, and the annual "Street of Service" table fee of $50.00
is waived. You will also be eligible to receive scholarships for
registration fees at state and national volunteer conferences.
