Silviculture and Forest Management Application Requirements - Section 10-4.207

Activities associated with bona fide silvicultural operation on land that has received an agricultural exemption from the Leon County Property Appraiser are exempt from the provisions of this section.

Activities associated with forest management on land that has not received an agricultural exemption from the Leon County Property Appraiser must apply for a vegetation management plan.  Additional permitting associated with stormwater protection may be required, as determined by the County Administrator or designee, and may dictate a change to a short form permit.  A buffer shall be left in an unaltered state within 25 feet from the property line.  Approval under this section is not required when the only management activity is tree planting and/or prescribed burning, including presuppression plowing.
